Anyone watched this? Don't usually watch but he had Shania Twain and Sam Smith on so I thought I'd give it a go.

He had a Quebec band in called Angine de Poitrine .

They were... odd

I wasn't looking at the screen but just listening to the music, which was good. My DH came in and said what the heck are you watching. I put glasses on and looked at screen.

My DC thought they were perhaps influenced by Mr Blobby.

It's math rock apparently . Whatever that is

From Wikipedia - 'The group describes itself as a "mantra-rock Dada Pythago-Cubist orchestra" composed of "space-time voyagers", reflecting their fusion of technical complexity, hypnotic repetition, and absurdist aesthetics.' that be it theno

Were they the ones with dildos for noses?

VimesandhisCardboardBoots · 21/06/2026 23:26

Huh. I just googled them, and Google puts a load of black circles all over the screen for a second when the page loads (and then will do it again if you click a little yellow triangle)

Dunno what that's about!

Didn't do that with me. Maybe some sort of parental control!

The two things that have been trending on my IG & YT feeds recently are Angine de Poitrine live performances and Anika Nilles - the drummer that has been recruited to enable Rush to get back on stage - she's brilliant and it seems most Rush fans have really embraced her - I think she's the biggest story in rock music ATM.

The word bandied about with A de P is microtonal - it sounds odd because of the extra frets banged in between the conventional frets - so they are using notes between the notes of a standard 12-note octave scale.

I did find A de P refreshing to listen to. Just a bit ' what the' about their look, which I wasnt expecting.
