Anyone watching? Saw the first episode last night and very good so far. Slight changes to the film but in a good way. Javier Bardem has captured all the menace of Robert De Niro.

I’m not sure my nervous system could cope. I’ve found the audio adds with Bardem saying “why would I wanna hurt cha” in the creepiest sing song voice disturbing enough.

Yes, really enjoying this so far. Javier Bardem is having the time of his life and Amy Adams is always good. The gender swap of her being the lawyer adds a new dimension too - is Cady the father of her daughter?

Not seen the original but just started this. Partly from behind my fingers 🤣

I've seen two episodes now.
Quite liking it,though the two lawyers accents are annoying me at times.
I do think the daughter could be cadys,he did say something along the lines of "no one knows what we did" to amy adams( sorry dont know her character name-or anyones other than max cady 🤣)
The whole toe swallowing thing was a bit silly!

I'm up to date with the episodes, Bardem is playing a blinder in this! I am struggling a bit with Patrick Wilson as I just keep seeing him in his Insidious role.

What on earth is going on with Zach, he's so odd. Ewww if Cady is Natalie's father too then that is grim as Neveah is her half sister 🤐

the actual ‘original’ Cape Fear is a 1962 film starring Gregory Peck and Robert Mitchum. The remake in 1991 is notable as it also had Gregory and Robert (Mitchum) in the cast, I love both versions and I will sign up to Apple to watch this I had no idea it being remade a 3rd time

Watching this now and as usual there are silly things " lock that garden gate!" But very much enjoying it. Javier is such a handsome man in a less conventional way.

Handsome yet lacking in vanity, considering some of the dreadful haircuts and teeth he's had to sport for roles over the years!

I know! For all the alarm systems and the profession of both characters, it seems anyone can wander in and out of their garden(and go in the pool!!)

The plot is a bit outlandish isn't it ? I bet we'll get to the end and say FFS 🙄😂

We have given up. not a lot happening and I dont find Cady menacing at all and lawyer mum is annoying and I dont mind the actress but not in this.

Our Apple sub has run out. I'm wondering if it's worth it to see the last 4 . Doesn't say much when I can't remember much about it 😂
