I found it interesting that the right on friends were so against the woody Allen films and told Steve how awful he was for liking them but made no comment about that fact that Izzy was dating someone who essentially had known her from the time she was conceived.
He'd have been there through Alice's pregnancy and would have been one of the first people who met her and have seen her from newborn to adulthood. They even said that he went in holiday with them and we saw how enmeshed they were in each other's lives because he was the plus one she took to events rather than her husband, even after they'd met and gotten together.
All the others only saw the age gap and ruled it ok because the husband was 10 years younger? Really?
Granny even said that he clearly was sitll in love with Alice after they'd broken up say those 30 hears ago that her daughter was the next best thing and was absolutely fine with it.
I like that Daniel? (sorry forgot husband's name, Joel frys character) pulled him up on not liking him and not trusting him and asked him outright if he had been looking at her as she grew up. I laughed at him telling him he wasn't looking forward to Christmasses going forward to, poor bugger.
The ending was ridiculous, trapped on the roof together. He didn't smell the smoke rising even if he couldn't hear anything? Barely anyone coughed even when trapped in it. They were able to climb and touch everything and only recognised that parts were getting hot slightly towards the end? That was a really bad fire effect too as well.
(that place would never have gotten permission to be a venue with its lack of fire safety, no alarm, no staff and how quickly everything went up! So many corners cut!)
It was entertaining enough to pass a couple of hours but really falls apart when you actually think about the premise. There's also they could survive jumping from the roof, not without major issues so no series 2!
