Is there a Four Seasons series 2 thread?

I looked but couldn’t see one. I watched it last week and I loved it. Even more than series 1. There are some brilliant laugh out loud moments, usually involving the lovely Claude! ❤️
Anyone else?

I loved it too. Promptly searched for evidence of a green light for series 3, but nothing yet.

I had no idea the Jersey Shore was so pretty!

The only thing that I found a bit too silly was the final episode involving Anne and the photos, but other than that, it was as easily as enjoyable as the first.

I love Anne's wardrobe too.

Claude is lovely. 🙂

The Jersey Shore looks absolutely beautiful!
I hope they do a third series. I think there’s definitely more story development opportunities without it getting boring.

Loved DTs cameo.

Does the surrogacy storyline go anywhere, does anyone know? I'm not a fan of that in particular but the show is really good, Tina Fey can do anything

Enjoyed it but Anne is nowhere near hot enough to pull those THREE handsome men. The actress is fine but miscast in this.

BitDrizzly · 14/06/2026 21:50

I was 50/50 about series 1, but ploughed on with it.

But loved series 2! Funny and touching. Claude is adorable and I love his relationship with Danny and Danny’s friendship with Tina Fey’s character.

Hope there’s a season 3!

In the middle of it and enjoying it!

I found the Covid episode funny; looking bad to all that madness

theresnolimits · 14/06/2026 21:53

Am I alone then in thinking it’s really disappointing? I loved Series 1 but without the abrasive nature of Steve Carrell I find the whole bunch whiny and dull.

Anne’s transformation is unconvincing - dull housefrau in Series 1, trendy siren now. The Tina Fey couple - irritating - she should leave him. Claude is still a darling but their relationship has lost its spark.

I have just watched the ‘Small Thanksgiving’ episode and found that far more enjoyable - no spoilers but if you’ve seen it, you’ll know why.

For me, should have stopped at series 1.

I watched it recently, enjoyed it but didn’t love it as much as the first series. And didn’t like Claude in the last 2 episodes back in Italy, his character (and hair!) changed and not for the better somehow.
Liked the season at the beach and felt a bit weird about the thanksgiving throwback episode but I did enjoy the series overall.
Not sure which direction they’d go in if they decided to do a third series, this one worked because of Jinnys baby continuing to tie them all together.

mumofoneAloneandwell · 14/06/2026 22:05

Do they go ahead with the surrogacy?

fundamentallyauthentic · 15/06/2026 18:40

It’s got the go ahead for a third series:

Well I am out for s3. I can manage DT in small doses but he's just in everything and a bit much for me. Think he'll be a distraction in this. V good in Rivals though.

I'm not on board with the surrogacy thing either. Casually thinking about getting a baby just like they casually got a dog and were terrible owners 🙈. It got my grumpy feminist hackles up.

I do like Claude and thingy as a couple though.

I did enjoy S2 and the appearance of Johnny Wotsit from The Good Wife too!

Sorry for forgetting names. Feckin menopause brain.

Inthesensethat · 18/06/2026 22:26

I loved S2! Not perfect - I do think the evolution of Anne's character was too far away from S1, although I liked her (and her wardrobe!). I thought I was going to miss Steve Carell's character more than I did - the others (especially Claude and Danny) more than made up for his absence.

My only other gripe (apart from the cheesy final scene with DT!) was that Claude is clearly not from Trento...i don't see why they couldn't have made him from a hilltop town in Tuscany (where he's from). Love Trento, but this really jarred for me!

I'm enjoying it. I like that the actors are playing people their own ages and that two of the couples have a college aged child. It's refreshing after things like Virgin River where the 50 year old actors are supposed to at the thinking about settling down stage.
