Cant see a thread on this.

Just watched 4 episodes on iplayer. I think Natalie is lovely and it's interesting hearing about what training as a carer entails.

There's a young girl who has cared for parents since she was 4, and now wants to be a carer by profession. I so admire people with this drive, amazing human beings.

Isn't Natalie lovely in this? She comes across as very caring. I've only seen 2 episodes so far but looking forward to more.

I haven't seen this yet but I did listen to her episode of Talk 90s To Me podcast and she comes across as a lovely person. Must watch this over the weekend.

I'm not sure this is a typical 'training as carer' experience, certainly not for L3 Btec Health and social care.

I think it has been very much put together as a TV program with far far more work experiences and placements than is usual in a 1 or 2 year Health and social care program.

For Btec 1 year program (Certificate or Extended certificate level) the work experience module is optional and often not available as it's very hard for students to find a placement (let alone multiple placements).

I'm also very jealous of the facilities that the college has and all their equipment.

I'm concerned that potential students will look at this and then be very disappointed at provision across many schools offering these courses.
