Has anyone else been watching The Assembly on telly?

Has anyone watched “The Assembly”? It’s a group of people, some of whom are ND, some have physical disabilities and some have mental disabilities.

They interview famous people. First was Danny Dyer, second David Tennant and the one I’m watching is Jade Thirwall.

It’s so good. One minute your laughing, next you’re crying.

They have a band and at the end they play a song for the celebrity.

So Danny got “Moving all Up, David got “Sunshine on Leith” and Jade is getting “I’m coming out”.

My friend was going on about it, so I started watching it tonight.

Just to add, the singer in the band has such a great voice.

I saw it advertised, but I haven't watched it. It does sound interesting.

I think Nicola Sturgeon is one of the interviewees.

I despise her.

I've watched them all now. Even the out takes 😂. I loved them all tbh. I love Anna Maxwell Martin so was really chufffed she was in it.

Aitch was one of my favourites, He was lovely.

Thoroughly enjoyed it all, the songs at the end were emotional.

Loved Nicola, but then I do anyway!

I did see that an episode with Rylan Clarke was going to air in May but don’t know when.

I did a thread in Telly Addicts when S2 came out and one of the posters knew someone who was in the audience for this and she said none of the questions are scripted 😀

It really was plus that rendition of "Dignity" had me in tears. The song that made me cry the most though was Lenny Henry's "Lean on me" because all the interviewers got emotional, especially the woman that sits beside the celebs and puts her wee asides in (so funny).

I would love to meet them all. Hope the Rylan episode airs soon. I actually think the celebs all loved it.

It was great to see the support they all have for each other and I think I now have a new favourite band 😂
