Ideas for enjoying Eurovision with under 10s

I really want to embrace Eurovision this year. Particularly with ds9.

Does anyone have any ideas?

My plan is to watch it on the Sunday morning, so that I can fast forward through the judging and the rude ones.

And in preparation to make score cards and draw flags. Does anyone know where I can find decent resources?

I was trying to fund statements from the boycotting countries, to show that it can be political, but I can’t find any.

find, I mean, not ‘fund’. I’m not so into the politics that I am looking to fund the boycotting countries. I just wanted to explain that Eurovision is more than just a song contest.

We always do a score sheet which keeps everyone engaged. Vote for song and costume/performance
We also are randomly allocated a country beforehand to support

A map is sometimes helpful so see who is voting (or not) for their neighbours

We all do a vote. We pick three acts each. The person who picks the winner (or, failing that, whose acts score highest overall) wins the nice box of choccies I've bought beforehand!

We also have a pizza dinner and just have a chat and laugh about the silliness, costumes etc.

We usually pick a random number and that’s song/country is then “ours”
We also have an European themed party food type dinner
One year I made non alcoholic sangria for the kids
