Oops wrong thread

Chatsbots · 30/04/2026 19:55

Is it going be good?

CaptBirdsEar · 30/04/2026 19:56

I might give it a go but I’ll wait till it’s all on iPlayer.

BakedBeansforabrain · 30/04/2026 19:59

The first 3 are on BBC3 tonight

It's difficult to read the body language of the players while reading the subtitles...or is it just me?

Jollyjupiter · 30/04/2026 20:22

There are some questionable outfits!

LorryTaylor · 01/05/2026 08:33

I love the mix of languages, often in one sentence! I also love seeing the Traitors styling and brand transplanted to a different culture and setting.
I am struggling with the subtitles though, everyone speaks very quickly and I'm missing a lot of the non-verbal stuff.

Rictasmorticia · 01/05/2026 09:46

I agree, it loses a lot with the subtitles.

TellingBone · 02/05/2026 21:45

I use subtitles all the time so it's not hard for me to follow.

Couple of things I looked up; the mix of Hindi and English they're speaking is called Hinglish. A crore rupees [prize fund] is about £77,000.

Faithful are known as 'innocents' - I know not why.

Very interested to see how this plays out in the Indian culture. Fascinating.

Unfortunately it seems full of influencers, youtubers and actors so not a true comparison to the 'amateur' game we started with in the UK. Skews the vibe potentially. But let's see.

Yes, we got about half way through episode1and turned it off. I just can't get into it.

saveforthat · 02/05/2026 22:26

I use subtitles with lots of programs so I'm used to them.

I watched this last year after downloading it, quite a different beast from UK Traitors - it took a while to get into it but I did watch the whole thing. There’s a lot of influencer types and they also mostly know each other, so it’s more similar to the US Traitors in that sense. I thought the host was great, and it kept true to the spirit of the Traitors, whilst having a unique twist. Definitely worth a watch to get your fix while you’re waiting for the new series.

Recklessismymiddlename · 08/05/2026 18:54

So happy there is a thread. On episode 5. Loving it. If only I could watch the whole thing. The Hinglish thing is so fascinating. May well be my favourite ever Traitors of the ones I’ve seen, bar Australia S2!

TellingBone · 24/05/2026 12:05

Finished watching last night.

Trying to avoid spoilers - the thing that happened that turned the game I found rather contrived or staged somehow. Too coincidental for me, being of cynical nature. However, was happy with the outcome.

Chatsbots · 24/05/2026 15:13

We loved it too.

It's like listening to Welsh speakers, so used to people dropping in English into another language.

Liked the outcome.

Just watched it. I’ll agree here with this. Almost seems that Uorfi was directed to walk by and the door was left open. Seemed odd to me.

Recklessismymiddlename · 28/05/2026 21:17

There is a thread on digital spy about it with some spoilers to a Reddit thread I’m India about it at the time. Seems a few agreed with us on here that thought it was odd <taps nose>.

TellingBone · 28/05/2026 21:44

Hmmm interesting. The more I think about it the more I'm convinced.

Clearly in the UK series the producers do have a hand in what we see and hear - and I've never been convinced by those shots of random people walking about in hallways when two people are trying to speak privately - but I don't think they'd go as far in manipulation as the India series [if we're right] did. It would spoil the whole thing.
