D Attenb. I am enjoying this but do wonder how the gardens are chosen. Are they all friends of David Att or BBC producers?

I am really enjoying this. The one garden would seem to have been chosen as the owner was a wildlife photographer and also where they are situated had an amazing array of animals.

Looking forward to the one with the red squirrels - next week

I think in some wildlife documentaries they do set things up or reproduce the smaller scenes in the studio or in controlled conditions. I don't mind that as longs as most of it is natural - they can wait a long time to capture 'the moment' after all.
Some of the gardens are lovely. The Wye Valley/Forest of Dean one would be blessed with a lot of wildlife to film.
