Hollyoaks - question about newt and eli

is eli in newts mind, i.e. not real?

yes, there was a thread on this the other day. i think eli is some one newt created when he first went into care at as a little kid. or maybe i think about it too much

i said that eli didn't exist a few days ago..

I think he is maybe scizophrenic, or something similar rather than imaginary friend. Well, I would hope it was something decent like that. Fight club-esque, could be a very good storyline.

There was a thread on this a few weeks back, and the more I watch the more apparent (sp?) it's becoming.... Poor old newt

Also, are they trying to make something of Mercedes and her slapperness? i.e that she has some kind of problem??

BTW, I'm shocked and relieved at how many people watch Hollyoaks, my DH takes the mick out of me ALL the time!

newt is a really good character, and of all the soaps, i think hollyoaks is the one that will handle a storyline about a mental illness in a young teenager very well. I love hollyoaks!!

Oh, I am addicted to Hollyoaks, my dh takes the p out of me aswell. For what it is worth, I knew that eli wasn't real after the first time. Poor newt indeed.
Has anyone noticed that Lauren used to be the little girl in a children's programme about Barnaby bear on cbeebees. She was a great little actress on that, I think she is very talented.

oh my god I thought eli was real!! It never occured to me that he was in newts head.. saying that though I don't get a chance to watch every episode so I probably miss a lot.

Though I did wonder why no one else could see eli...
