Looks like it's all going to kick off again.

Why, what have I missed?
Last I heard Wiwiam was being an arse about George, letting him get his own way etc, and Emmur had told Ed she wanted to be friends.

TsarChasm · 19/06/2008 19:43

Well I only heard the last bit, but Emmerr was trying to cheer miserable old Will up (Herculean task that, I should think) then they had a bit of a 'moment' where she said he needed a hug and looked a bit like Georgie. Hug ensued. Then both a bit awkward.

Ed is obviously all stirred up re Emmerr again. He's botched Falon's birthday a bit, seems all confused since Emmerr said she wanted them to be friends a week or so ago, and Falon is sensing he's cooling off a bit.

Sorry about all the 'a bits' there!

Looks like Emmerr is thinking wistfully about Will (and Ed) whilst Ed is lusting after Emmerr. There must be a dearth of agricultural stories - could we have a dose of bluetongue in Borsetshire?

HowlsAtTheMoon · 19/06/2008 19:51

Ah. I've missed quite a bit - would agree though that there's something in the pipeline. Should be interesting.
I'm already heartily sick of the Alan /Usha Ma/Pa scenario.

I love listening to it but spend most of the time wanting to punch one or other of them in the face. Hard.

poppy34 · 19/06/2008 19:53

I am fed up with usha who seems to have morphed into the whiniest creature ever.

to be honest annoying though it is emma/willyem/ed story welcome change (after low point of phil and the coloured washing)... it was always going to go that way as no way were ed and fallon going to last

MuchLessTiredNow · 19/06/2008 19:54

god, me too! Usha is driving me mad, as is willyum. Would quite like to slap Pat too - and Brian - why on earth am I so addicted to it?!!!!

claricebeansmum · 19/06/2008 19:54

Usha has taken over from Shula in the annoying stakes.

poppy34 · 19/06/2008 19:55

oh.. dunno -but pat is always slappable -that is some feat over the 20 plus years I've been listening. and am saving the rooths party podcast til I am feeling strong in the stomach..good to see pip is a punchable chip off the block

in fact its so much harder to find the characters that I don't find slappable

Oh, it's got to be Ed. Willyum has got the money, it's only fair that Ed gets the girl surely?

Lilymaid · 19/06/2008 19:57

Also can't think offhand of one (serious) character who I don't want to kick. Kathy, perhaps?

poppy34 · 19/06/2008 19:58

yes I agree clarice -it takes something for me to feel sorry for shula but I did when she resigned the church warden thing.

What I can't figure out is all this business iwth neil/susan.. surely they can't let susan who said as much to the journalist get off scot free..

[worried at self for getting upset on behalf of fictional soap character who don't even like that much]

claricebeansmum · 19/06/2008 19:59

I hate Susan she is a busy body with a hideous voice.

MuchLessTiredNow · 19/06/2008 20:02

yes, surely susan must have some sort of come uppance coming..... Sorry to say kathy annoys me too. The only one who doesn't is Jill, I think. - or Matt Crawford, too, because he is so rude to everyone!

claricebeansmum · 19/06/2008 20:04

Actually, and I can't really believe I am saying this, but I feel sorry for Matt at the moment with Lilian banging on about his paretns when it is obvious he wants to leave it in the past.

Isn't Jill due to die? After we heard Phil cope so badly in her absence wouldn't that make a logical next story line?

poppy34 · 19/06/2008 20:04

kathy annoys me too.

I quite like matt and lilian. Jill is sort of non entity

poppy34 · 19/06/2008 20:04

would we notice clarice?

oggsfroghowlsatthemoon · 19/06/2008 20:05

Oh, I have a very hard punch reserved for Jill. And Kathy.

womblingalong · 19/06/2008 20:06

Oh no, I was glad that Shula finally got what was coming to her when she resigned as church warden!

TsarChasm · 19/06/2008 20:06

Rofl - they are ALL the most annoying bunch of people aren't they?

I like Ed though - he always seems so confused and struggling to work everything out. Also I like Matt and Lillian.

I'm sick of the wedding too. Would anyone anywhere make that much of a to-do about it nowadays anyway fgs?

OP posts:
oggsfroghowlsatthemoon · 19/06/2008 20:07

I thought something was definately afoot when Jill went away and was hoping for expecting the worst.

MuchLessTiredNow · 19/06/2008 20:12

I do like Clarrie though - still remember her courting eddie... poor woman.

oggsfroghowlsatthemoon · 19/06/2008 20:17

Yes, Clarrie is a good'un.
At the moment I'm liking Ed, Matt, Lillian....erm..... there must be more surely? Why the hell do I listen to it?

Yurtgirl · 19/06/2008 20:23

I absolutely luuurve listening to the Archers - all except for Kathy and also Usha

In rl does anyone know of an Anglican vicar who has married a Hindu woman? Is there a real life precedent?
