On Ch4 at 4pm. Really funny. Recommend you watch it for a bit of a laugh.

It has been so funny this week. Can't wait till tomorrow's episode when its Pippa's turn - you just want to see her fall on her backside, don't you - she's such a cow!!!

Moomina · 26/01/2005 22:15

Have been watching this too although haven't seen much of this week's. That Vera person looks delightful....

mummytummy · 26/01/2005 22:24

Oh, she was hysterical!! Her idea of making a fruit coullis was to mix a tablespoon of jam with warm water!! For desert she served a dollop of shop bought ice cream with a flake in it, crushed maltesers and squirty cream, which although sounds quite yummy, you can imagine how it went down at a best dinner party competition!! This week, they all seem particularly "up themselves"!

Tinker · 26/01/2005 22:33

Oh I love this . This week is definitely less "classy" than last week. If you knew you were going to be on telly wouldn't you make sure you picked a menu that meant you coudl prepare a lot of teh food beforehand?

mummytummy · 26/01/2005 22:35

I can't believe that the guy today made one of his guests wait outside in the cold because he was 4 minutes early!!

RTKangaMummy · 26/01/2005 22:36

yes me too

SueW · 26/01/2005 22:46

I've been recording it, let alone just watching it!

Pippa and the 25yo 'entrepreneur' she connects with are unbelievably snobbish. Is he the one who made someone wait outside (haven't watched today's episode yet).

Thought last week's crowd were great and tbh, like a lot of the people I might have met when living in Lond when younger - different styles but basically able to accommodate each other and have a great time.

Rowlers · 26/01/2005 22:54

Only saw Monday's episode. Thought they were a bunch of horrors.
Especially Pippa - how can she take herself seriously being so dislikeable?
And the 25 year old needs a reality check, what a nob.
Felt sorry for Vera - think she'd totally miscalculated but they were SO rude.
I agree that last week's crowd seemed much more pleasant.
Must make an extra effort to watch tomorrow.

That curry menu looked vile though [puke icon]

RTKangaMummy · 27/01/2005 16:06

ignoring his gluten free needs

RTKangaMummy · 27/01/2005 16:12

OMG leaving her out in the street until 6.30

She says oh well dont even like them

RTKangaMummy · 27/01/2005 16:16

love the crown

mummytummy · 27/01/2005 16:31

Isn't she dreadful. Thank goodness she fell on her arse - I'd hate to see her win.

mummytummy · 27/01/2005 16:32

Oh, how funny, she thinks she has gone a couple of points ahead of Craig!! I can't believe he gave her 7, when he couldn't eat half of the food.

Rowlers · 27/01/2005 16:34

Is she going to watch this and see herself as we all do?
Dear oh dear, no-one over the age of 7 should wear a tiara. What was she thinking?
Can you imagine knowing her? I wouldn't be able to look her in the eye after this.

RTKangaMummy · 27/01/2005 16:36

The nude painting pmsl

Moomina · 27/01/2005 16:36

Oh, god, she is a piece of work. What an ignorant, self-important baggage. If I'd been Vera I would have turned around and got back in the cab.

mummytummy · 27/01/2005 16:45

I think Vera was extremely charitable giving Pippa 1 point!

harrogatemum · 27/01/2005 19:13

especially loved the fact that Pippa thinks she is now in the lead!!!

Scares me as I recognise the shops she goes into in Wetherby...

Just wanted to mention also Vera's classic pronunciation of "melange" yesterday...she pronounced it "mel-an-geee" for anyone who missed it!!

Tinker · 27/01/2005 19:35

Missed it today. What score did Pippa get?

Posey · 27/01/2005 20:46

23 or 24 I think.
Loved the "breakfast vindaloo" by whathisname-the-teacher.
