Me and my husband stumbled across this yesterday on Netflix and binge watched the first series. It’s about a family coming to terms with their 5 year old showing signs of autism and learning how to manage his behaviours and meet his needs. I found it so interesting to see how much it impacted the family unit as a whole and the different ways that different family members reacted to the diagnosis (acceptance and denial). It was quite emotional to watch at times.

Has anyone else watched it?

We plan to start watching the second series later today.

Is that the one with Greg McHugh and Morven Christie? I watched it when it was on a few years ago and, weirdly, it came into my head yesterday, wondering if there would be another series.

I loved the first series and rewatched it several times. However, I’m afraid I found series 2 and 3 became less and less enjoyable. They focused increasingly on other adults with disabilities, which in theory is a great idea and very worthy but tbh I found it much less engrossing than series 1.
