Rewatched Bad Girls

I have just finished rewatching Bad Girls on ITVX which I loved! I only happened upon it by chance. I have watched most current things but is there anything along those lines that I might enjoy for my next binge fest?

Footballers Wives if it's still on there. Absolute class.

Oh I love Bad Girls! Bloody Fenner.

Ooh there was a character from footballers wives in Bad Girls! Some sort of crossover. I never watched it but just found it on ITVX so will give it a go. Thank you!

I rewatched bad girls a few years back and thought some of the storylines were so ahead of their time in the way they dealt with difficult issues.
Footballers wives was written by the same writers, when you watch it now and see the flip phones and smoking in the bars, a very different era but wild. Think many a celebrity would love hazel bailey as their PR or in their corner!

Fenner was a fucker! The last season wasn’t great but there were so many (mainly soap) actors in it that I recognised and actually I think it was a bit ahead of it’s time

Yes it really was! Plus the smoking in pubs and in their cells - what a throwback. I was gutted when I finished it!

I’ve been watching band of gold on itvx which is really good… I’m enjoying watching all the old stuff atm! Life begins and at home with the braithwaites was also good…

Love bad girls. Yvonne was my favourite, followed closely by bev and phyll!

I saw the actor who played him in the Fishermen's Friends stage muscal. He was brilliant.

I loved Bad Grils and Footballer's Wives.
Is Desperate Housewives available to watch anywhere?

I will try Band of Gold after Footballers wives. I loved At home with the braithwaites! That’s what I’m looking for - some of the older stuff that was ahead of it’s time

It was Tanya I think. Be warned, FW is absolute shite but hugely entertaining.

The Julie’s were my favourites especially in the earlier series. Yvonne was great but I remember having nightmares when I originally watched it about her being trapped in the hanging cell 😱

Di was proper bat shit crazy in Bad Girls

I loved both of those. Another blast from the past I rewatched a couple of years ago and enjoyed was Tenko.

Never heard of Tenko so will look that up. I loved Prime Suspect so will add that to the list

The Syndicate is also worth watching - basically, anything written by Kay Mellor, and anything written by Sally Wainwright.

Think I watched it! Yes I agree Kay Mellor and Sally Wainwright are brilliant. I am just crap with names - after watching Bad Girls again it gave me a taste of watching similar things or from similar times
