I see there are several reports that BBC pulled an episode where they were going to repair one of Bob Monkhouses joke books because someone complained about some of the jokes in it.
The man's been dead for over 20 years and I suspect many here never experienced his shows. I doubt that the BBC intended to spend the hour of the show reading out his jokes so what's the point of refusing. His humour may not be to everyone's taste but it was of his time and this would have been a family heirloom.
