Anyone watch this? Was very disappointing, think other shows do some of the concepts so much better (HIGNFY, Dead Ringers) and the cameos were so cringey. Graham Norton was so weird and I usually love his stuff. The ‘educate yourself’ stuff was awkward.

I turned over after 10 minutes - absolute crap

Thought it was ok. It’s a hard format that has always struggled in the U.K. but considering it was the v first ep it could’ve been a lot worse. Feel like there’s abit of a gap currently in terms of satirical comedy so I’m hoping it can find its feet

Yeah I watched it and was really disappointed. Im
not sure the concept translates that well in the UK. The only bit I found funny was “what kind of Irish is your grandad” cause I’m Irish and his accents were all bang on. Other than that it was cringe and predictable. Hugely disappointing as I love Tina Fey.

This. They just need to let their writing team get on with it. We have every need for satirical sketch shows and massive scope given world events. It will find its way. Not the best idea to involve unfunny big names like Norton in the first ep but I’m interested to see what SNL will do next. Tina Fey is so talented and I totally get why they wanted her for the first one.

I really miss satire and interesting comedians. I was around for the alternative comedians in th late 80s and early 90s and Ben Elton, Rob Newman, David Baddiel etc were so refreshing. Saw them live and loved it. I just felt this didn’t have any edge to it.

I so wanted to like this but found it mostly awful. I also thought the band were one of the jokes as they were so bad!

I hope it improves.

Perhaps I’m not the demographic though as I’d never heard of even one of the comedians except Tina Fey!

Episode 2 was so much better. Still skipping the music but I loved the opening sketch (Prince Andrew) and some of the rest was funny. Didnt love the rugby sketch, just gross.

I thought first episode was ok. Liked the second episode. I found both bands a bit meh so if they improved their musical guests I'd probably be more into it.

TBF, I think the blonde guy doing princess Di in episode 1 is still one of my favourite bits - was so disconcerting that it was so immediately identifiable!! 🤣
