I’ve just watched the first one.

I love how much more personal it is

It's more interesting if you remember the people I think. Sometimes I wonder what happens after filming as I think quite a few of the offers made by the presenter on the phone don't come to anything. Of course, they're not going to have anyone on the catch up show saying "God, I wish I hadn't bought this place!"

I remember a catch up programme from last year and the husband had sadly died ( youngish ) in the meantime and the woman had subsequently met a local. Which was nice.

I think I remember that one 🤔

One of my favourites was a very camp older guy, he bought a place in somewhere like Naxos and took a female friend with him in the original programme. I was sure he was gay and he'd find love with a Greek man but in What Happened Next he'd met a woman 😅

I wish they would though. I'm only really interested in the ones that don't work out 😄. I suspect there's are a lot of time wasters on the show as well.

As for timewasters...yeh, some participants seem to be having a paid trip abroad and the chance to be on TV but I wonder how serious they are about actually buying a property. How do they select these people? The presenters always seem very keen that an offer is made but I suppose that's what the programme is about!
Also (going off on one now) why do the couples always hold hands all the time like they've been superglued together?

And why do the female presenters wear ludicrous high heels on shaley and sandy paths and beaches.
