One of my favourite series ever. It's absolutely fucking brilliant, the guest stars were amazing. Kate Winslet was perfect sending herself up and that piano scene with David Bowie 🤣

I loved it too... I adored the scene where the agent and Maggie had a date at his house. And he had to use the bathroom. SO funny.

Darren the agent was excruciating. The comic timing with Barry off EastEnders 🤣

I could watch it over and over again and never get bored with it, every episode brings something new.

I always forget how many amazing stars took part in this series.

Definitely worth a re-watch!

Oh i rewatched it all recently. I can’t believe it’s 20! RG’s best work

Chubby little fat man! 🤣

Love this. I liked the Les Dawson episode with Ricky as a pantomime genie telling terrible jokes. Plus the girl with the overbearing father.
Ricky pretending to be catholic to woo a girl.
Patrick Stewart and his idea for a film.

Extras was brilliant. One of the very last great UK comedies in my book. My fav episode is probably the awards ceremony one with Stephen Fry, Moira Stewart and Ronnie Corbett.

blubberball · 01/03/2026 14:36

It was great. It's a shame that they don't work together any more

I love Extras. I fell in love with Ashley Jensen's character Maggie. She was so funny, honest, loyal and vulnerable. Probably my favourite episode was the one with the awful overbearing Scottish father Bunny and his dodgy relationship with his poor daughter. The scene where poor Maggie gets thrown out of the birthday party, not even allowed to take a few sandwiches is priceless.
