Anyone else watching this on Great TV?

I am loving it! Saw part of it first time around 30 years ago, but had forgotten/didn’t realise how good it was.

Dervla Kirwan and Stephen Tompkinson are excellent. Brilliant chemistry between them and the relationship is played out so gently.

Oo is it back on? Where? I loved it!

I enjoyed it first time round, must try and watch it again.

Oh this makes me really nostalgic! It used to be on after tea on a Sunday. My boyfriend would come over and we’d watch it with my mum and dad.

living in Ireland it made me cringe so much I could barley watch it but having only 2 tv channels choices were limited, what brilliant chemistry? they were like bricks acting! don’t think it needs revisiting. Father Ted on the other hand…….

It's on on Great TV every weekday at 3pm and also on the Great Tv Player.

I honestly think the acting is brilliant in it, across the board.

I love Father Ted, but in fairness it is constantly on repeat on Channel 4, RTE and the players. It has had plenty share of revisiting and rightly so!

I always thought Stephen Tompkinson was a terrible actor. He’s so wooden.

I found him a bit wooden in The Split to be fair. Although definitely not in this.

The scene in yesterday’s episode at the end when he left the play and was standing outside was excellent. Also, I think that he really suits the wry straight man type role that he plays in this.

Having said that Tony Doyle, Dervla Kirwan and Tina Kellegher really steal the show in this in my opinion.
