I have it on DVD. Watch it every year between Christmas and New Year. This year watched it in a double feature with my other favorite, Hero’s of Telemark.

Oh yes! Saw this at the pictures with my Dad. I always enjoyed a good war film - Battle of the Bulge and Von Ryan’s Express come to mind.

Love all of these but also Tora Tora Tora, The Bridge at Remagen and the Battle of Medway

The thing is they are all still so watchable. They were all released within a fairly short time of the war ending. I wonder if out children will look on modern day war films in the same way.

Behind Enemy Lines is a, relatively speaking, modern classic.

Since someone’s mentioned The Magnificent Seven, I’ll just say that I think it’s head and shoulders above all the other films named. It’s one of the great movies of all time, IMO.
