I am so enjoying watching season 2 of Landman on Paramount Plus. It really makes you feel the emotions even though it is all totally outside my experience!

We loved S1, but cannot get into S2.

I’m a little bit in love with Rebecca!

I loved season 1 but I’ve hated season 2. It’s so slow and the women have gone from being funny and feisty to absolutely ridiculous. And the story about the girl from the bar being paid to help his father - yuck. All the women are portrayed very poorly imo.

Landman is excellent, as I think anything remotely connected to Taylor Sheridan is. He’s a genius.

Until he starts putting his own cameo appearances in, that is. Amazing writer and director, but a dreadful actor.

I’d agree with this. His best acting was as Hale in Sons of Anarchy. The bits he was in in Yellowstone’s last series was self-indulgent tosh.

Enjoyed Rebecca in the finale.

Landman is excellent. I love all the cast. Especially Cooper who seems to have grown up. I'm so pleased he didn't bulk up for series 2, just grown as a man.
They are great as an ensemble.

Daughter is a chip of the old block, and seems to be grown up as well especially in the last episode. I think she's had a great role model in her mum. I was soooo pleased that Angela didn't join in the Margarita fest, just was content to sunbathe - she didn't want to join in with the youngsters, which would have been an embarrassing for Ainsley.

I love Rebecca. She kicks ass. As does Arianna , she knows what she wants and isn't scared.

The physio/stripper is a bit of a shark jump.

Is Sam Elliott actually frail in real life as he sort of concerned me a bit!

It's rated a 16 I think and is a bit raunchy I guess but it's not explicit sex which is good.

All the cast are flawed .

I don't want to like stuff by Taylor Sheridan but I do. Yellowstone series is excellent and one of the few TV series I'd watch again (Shirts Creek been another).
And we like Lioness. Mayor of Kingstown looks a bit bleak and we've not as yet tackled it

I'm sad it's over.

Enjoyed finale. Rebecca saving Cooper was classy. Awaiting season 3.

It really is the definition of a Guilty Pleasure.

I think the whole Ainsley/Paigyn story was good.

I actually like the crazy ex wife and daughter. They are totally bat shit but both actually have good hearts and are kind people, they are just spoiled and indulged. I think they add a comedy value to it.

Loved the second season.

I LOVE Landman and am gutted that season 2 is finished already. I feel like it's a modern day 'Dallas' but grittier and dirtier. 😄 I actually have grown to really like the ex wife and daughter - as ditzy as they are I think they both actually have some very good traits and lighten the mood, on the other hand I find Cooper a bit wet. Rebecca is brilliant, that scene in the sheriff's office I think I fell in love a bit. Nice to see her letting go of her control a bit with geology man.

@JustHereWithMyPopcorn yes we will! Paramount renewed for season 3 in December 2025 and it’s rumoured that filming will start in April or May this year. So lots of patience required but I think it will worth the wait if season 2 was anything to go by.

Taylor Sheridan must go home at night and just roll around in money now. 😂 And scripts.

Ah fantastic news! I felt that they were wrapping it up with he ending to Season 2 but so happy to here that more is coming. Also I literally don't know anyone else that watches it so thought it might be one of those great shows that everyone just misses.

I think they didn’t know if it would be renewed or not when they finished season 2 so that’s probably why they wrapped things up a bit. I actually wondered if they were setting it up for a spin-off instead so happy for the renewal. I definitely think it’s under-rated / not well known in the UK. I suspect that’s due to it being on Paramount. If/when it moves more mainstream (so like Yellowstone was on Paramount - which is why I signed up and then Landman kept me paying my subscription - and now it’s also on Netflix) it’ll take off.

I have watched season 1 and 2 over the last 10 days. Wasn’t sure in season 1 but enjoyed season 2. I have read that the Angela character won’t be back in season 3 but I am not sure that’s reliable. I liked the scenes when Tommy was negotiating his own oil company deal with Andy Garcia and how he said when Cami’s gas expiration fails he will pay him back regardless. Tommy is an honest man.
