One of my favourite feel good films ( although it has some harrowing bits )
is on ITV3+1 today ( Boxing Day 18.55 )

Ahhh I loved this film and book so much as a child! Looking back it was probably a bit dark but I have fond memories of reading the book.

We read it in English in y8. I’d already read it in y6/7. Love love love it, book and film. So sad.

I’ve just watched this. One of my all time favourite childhood books. I adored it. Tried to get my kids age 12 and 11 to watch. They liked it but it’s so different to kids films these days.

Love the book but hated the film.

I love this film. I also love "goodbye Mr Chips".
