I’m watching series one again, just so I’m up to speed! It’s bloody excellent and well worth a second watch. The eye candy is glorious, both Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Debicki are stunning. Highly recommend.

I’ll have to rewatch because I can’t remember anything about it. Can’t believe it’s been ten years since it was on.

I loved Elizabeth Debicki in it (I think it was the first thing I’d seen her in), but I don’t get Tom Hiddleston as a sex symbol/action man at all. I love him as an actor in small parts in Joanna Hogg films, but physically he reminds me of the type of guy who comes to service the photocopier.

Can’t be the same without Corky! 😢

As for Hiddleston, I've always thought him handsome in a bland Etonian sort of way, but not sexy at all. Very talented actor but lacking in charisma. He doesn't have 'it'. Yes I'm sure he's devastated.

Yeah, I bet he’s weeping into his tea over the fact that I class him as a photocopier servicer!

I just don’t really get him as a sex symbol. He’s so sort of peaky and gangly and has that giant forehead and very close-set eyes. You could absolutely cast him as a photocopier servicer without it looking as weird as it did casting Cillian Murphy as a downtrodden 80s coalman.

He was hot in that weird film with Tilda Swinton where they both played vampires.

Tom Hiddleston himself though? Not so much.

I remember when he did a shirtless photos shoot back in the Hiddleswift days, the general reaction seemed to be, 'Nice body, but his facial expression is like he was getting changed in the hotel room and the cleaner walked in unexpectedly.'

All makes sense now. I work in a reprographics department and safe to say there are plenty of very gorgeous photocopier engineers. Not surprising that TH makes me go all dizzy then.

I’ve clearly been very unlucky then! Our current regular is a man who wears slightly too-short trousers and nylon shirts, and chews his nails to bloody stumps! He’s incredibly nice, but we were talking about looks.
