what happened to the current series of desperate housewives?

it was on up until a week or so ago and i thought we were only half way through! i've done a search on radio times and it doesn't come up!

I assume it's because of the writers strike????

ahhh that would explain it...

Is that really it? I've been wondering but thought it was something to do with Big Brother taking the 10pm Wednesday slot.

No, the series ended early this season because of the writers strike.

Back in the autumn, I believe.
