I’ve watched the first four episodes of Daddy Issues season 1.
i get that Derek (I think? Dads mate) is profiled as a misogynist twat, but I find the script really disturbing, I might have to stop watching,
the character said ‘any bloke is better than any female’ and similar all the time, he ogles every woman- it’s tiresome but it feels offensive imo.
i know it’s comedy and we’re supposed to laugh at him, not with him. But I (really hope I) know that similar talk that was eg racist or homophobic wouldn’t feature, so why is it still funny to belittle women?
not sure whether to keep trying with the rest of the series?
