Missed last night’s as I had to be in work for 0620, so turned in early. Still didn’t sleep as I kept getting divebombed by a bastard mosquito!

I've just finished last night's, I do love a mass catering challenge, it's always hilarious, nothing is ready on time, menus have to change with five minutes to go and yet everything is ready on time 🤔🤔🤣

Remember the days when the contestants would be whisked off somewhere foreign and have to cook from a local shed or something 😄 😄 and they always stepped up, I'll never forget Christina Hamilton and the train, it was tough back in the day I tell you 😭 😭

And cooking in blistering heat outside and having to have an ice cream component because it was a compulsory part of the challenge 😄😄

Ah I miss the old days

@Ellenanora7 I must say, when they kept showing lingering shots of the very LONG, COBBLED paths around Coombe Manor, I was mentally measuring the distance between the kitchen and Ye Olde Dynynge Hall, and fully expecting them to have to transport their food half a mile on wobbly trolleys as in the good old days 😄

But it was not to be….

My friends got married at Coombe Abbey many moons ago. It's beautiful, thankfully the wedding wasn't medieval themed
These mass catering things are obviously staged as sucess plucked from imminent disaster

Some of the pies in the second half looked amazing 👏

I'm watching tonight's episode now as I'm going out this evening.
