Is anyone else struggling with this series? Can't get into it at all.

This last week is awful. Middle week was OK lol
I just think the show has run its course. But ITV will probably keep it the same until and on air until Ant and Dec decide to leave.

I loved watching them all sing. Looks like they have a right laugh all together which is lovely to watch. I would like Tom to win!

Same, I think it's great this year. I'm genuinely struggling to find anyone I don't really like, there's usually one stand out person for me by now!
I love how they're all mainly getting along and the chats and conversation about themselves. Much rather that than everyone bitching and falling out.

Oh and after saying that I've just caught up with tonight's episode and Kelly was well snide and shit stirring there - "there were more than 10 milk bottles - BYE!" then ran out of camp.
Leaving them to take any repercussions when she was just as bad, and did it laughing and running out to luxury?

Agree I was expecting more from Martin reckon he has so many stories from his SB days! Weird he’s never mentioned any. He’s a lovely family man tho who absolutely dotes on his wife and given how many marriages have broken up with shenanigans going on in bands it’s refreshing to see theirs has lasted

i liked Kelly in Race across the world

Plus she works hard in her own right and has all kinds of gigs on the go. Tv presenting, her own successful business, tv adverts, podcasting, modelling. She's not just well off cos of her marriage.

I've only watched since the Matt Hancock series and it's true, they all seem to be finding it easier and enjoying it more this time which I get that somepeople prefer, but it doesn't seem to be the intention of the producers so I wonder what's changed. I think it might just be that people are way more prepared to go in than they used to be. It feels like some celebrities almost train for it with a couple of them talking about even getting used to critters before going in. I thought jack instigating a morning camp meeting immediately was to ensure harmony no matter what. If this is the most interesting stuff they can get out of the edit, then something is going wrong somewhere. It's almost like they've all agreed to respect each other's privacy as well because I'm surprised at how little we've heard about people's real lives which is usually half of the chat. I feel like I know virtually zero about the real Ruby...it's still just her public persona as an example. They're all being really careful.

And for this reason, I feel it’s run its course…

Or they need to mix it up a bit more or make some changes. Maybe even a new location, new format, different challenges… something!

This series has surprised me as usually there are several folk I don’t like but this year there’s not really one person that annoys me.

I thought I wouldn’t warm to either Kelly or Vogue but they do seem lovely.

Lisa and Shona too, I’ve always associated them with their annoying soap characters.

Don’t actually mind who wins, wide open I reckon, but would love a romance between Aitch & Shona to come out of it.

I remember when all the reality shows first started (not including 'The Family' back in the 70's, great viewing and before that, people living in a commune in the countryside somewhere, can't remember name) Castaway was first in 2000, Ben Fogle before he was famous, along with a large group of people sent to live for a year on remote Scottish Island Taransay, had to fend for themselves, grow their own food etc. Rebellions, mutiny against the producers, fights, friendships and a romance, it was so good, even bought the book to go with the series. Followed swiftly by Big Brother. First series nothing like it is today. Really was like a social experiment, I think they kept chickens. Then came IACGMOOH, loved it. Now people know what to expect. I don't think some of them care whether they win or not, they know they will get much needed exposure, money, jobs etc. This year IACGMOOH people seemed so good at the trials, the shock factor has gone. There is definitely some performing going on, Martin seems quiet but think he is literally being 'normal' and himself rather than trying to impress anyone or being entertaining. I will always watch as it's a tradition in our house, but It wasn't the same this year. Same for Big Brother.

Castaway for anyone interested

I remember Castaway! Imagine signing up to that for a whole year?! Would love to see an update programme on where everyone is now.

All reality programmes are the same - the first series (or second at a push) is for genuine people interested in whatever the programme is (getting married at first sight, living with strangers, surviving on a deserted island) but then after a few series it becomes the same with people wanting fame, influencers, regular reality stars.

It was only a few years ago but I can’t imagine there being a contestant on IACGMOOH like Kim or Lady C or even Gillian McPoo - sure there have been shit men too but I can’t remember right now.

Renember when the the chef led a mutiny in the jungle because they had only been given a couple of sausages between lots of them? Or when they had to sleep out all night in a house of horrors or some such.

Now these shows are just a way to either remind the public someone famous is still around, get more likes on social media or introduce someone to the main public (e.g Ginge) Despite knowing I am being manipulated by production to a point I still watch it 🙈
Though I am pleasantly surprised that Joel, Kemi and guests on Unpacked are being a bit more forthright with their views than previously.

God I hope not
