Christmas is close, 🎄 we've had minus temperatures for a wee while, and the darker days and sunset by 4pm is with us.

Let Undead Becky continue to bore and annoy us! Let nasty Theo continue to infuriate us! Let the potential child grooming storylines shock us! Let Carl Chuckle Brother continue to shag anything with a pulse! (And hopefully dump Abi!) AND let's get ready for Christmaaaaaaaaaas!!!!!! 🎅❄🎄

It's crazy that everyone is seeing Theo as the victim.

That's how clever abusers are 🙁

timetogetlost · 15/12/2025 22:45

I think in Todd's interview he came across as scares and vulnerable. Plus, people know him, and don't trust Theo. I am worried he will lose his evidence now, but hopefully it was connected to WiFi and getting uploaded to something. Maybe Theo won't be able to delete it as he has trashed the laptop.
Did you spot the policewoman at the copshop, clocking the performative hug Theo gave Todd?
I also thought it weird that Chrissy and George would just believe Theo before hearing from Todd.

1reason · 15/12/2025 22:47

On a lighter note, tbere was some chat on here recently about Kit towering over people at 6ft4.
I always thought Theo was very tall too ( Todd referenced this tonight).
Well, I had to research it ..turns out Theo actor James Cartwright is a relative shortarse at just 6ft! 😀

MonickerMonica · 15/12/2025 22:50

Despicable though he is I think Theo actor is doing a great job. Both he and Todd are playing their roles excellently.

Most actors are small

It is easier to fit them into the telly

Surely this is a spoiler? Or have I zoned out so much i missed an announcement?

Andepeda · 15/12/2025 23:31

I wondered at the time why Todd bought two picture frame cameras. Hopefully
Theo forgets the other one.

Corrie's on tomorrow night <Tuesday> by the way!

Football on Wednesday

Of course, football takes precedence!
Goodness knows what the World Cup will do to tv schedules next summer 🙄

JewelleryCat · 16/12/2025 03:35

Urgh not more football. I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, stick it on ITV4 or something or put the soaps on ITV2. Mind you, I’m still peeved that from next week, Classics aren’t going to be on until January

Oh i'm sorry 🙈! I dont know for sure and have reported my comment x

Fuckoffeasypeelers · 16/12/2025 08:02

Omg that was a tough watch.
Poor Todd

It shows really clearly though how in DA the perpetrator twists everything back onto the victim and also what Reactive Abuse is.

Its not just as simple as " why did you put up with that" the victim is manipulated into feeling its all their fault
10/10 Corrie

Shellingbynight · 16/12/2025 08:46

We've already had the reactive abuse aspect with Yasmeen and Geoff. I thought last night was done very well, but it does feel a bit soon to be doing this again.

I did think last night was well done. But compared with the likes of Charlie Stubbs and Geoff Metcalfe, this is so full on it doesn't even feel like Corrie any more. Charlie and Geoff never hit their victims whereas these two are knocking seven bells out of each other, we've already had two hospital visits and the storyline seems nowhere near the end. I bet there is a lot more to come, not sure how much more I want to see.

AmusedMaker · 16/12/2025 08:46

It’s painful to watch, but it’s all about Todd & Theo for me at the moment. The best storyline by miles.

Yes, that’s true. But I never took to Yasmeen and thought she wax a terrible actress.
Plus it’s important to show abuse in same sex relationships ( in this case between men ) and how they can get physical more quickly.

Shellingbynight · 16/12/2025 09:05

Yes. But what message did last night send? That the victim will be arrested as the abuser. And only released if the abuser 'allows' it. And all your friends who have known you for 20 years will believe a story from the random they met earlier this year. Not a great message is it. And no doubt this will all end in a melodramatic a rooftop fall or similar, so I'm not sure how it's helpful to anyone.

(I found Yasmeen mainly irritating, but thought she was good in the Geoff storyline.)

mumofoneAloneandwell · 16/12/2025 09:34

I liked the boys fighting element, as abuse does look different in same sex relationships - todd isnt a fighter but has been pushed into becoming angry and thats how men would fight imo

Agree though that with such an important storyline, where it hasnt been done loads before, being two men, it would be better to be as realistic as possible re how things sorted. We dont need weeks of Todd in prison for standing up to his abuser 🥺

JellyBeanSpring25 · 16/12/2025 10:03

It’s on tonight (Tuesday)

NebulousSadTimes · 16/12/2025 10:13

Thank you for the heads up that it's on tonight.

That was hard. Not easy viewing with the different cameras but it added to our tension.

There was a bit where Todd was shouting back that could look very incriminating if viewed on its own.

Did anyone see the quality telly that was the Emmerdale/Corrie quiz afterwards?

MonickerMonica · 16/12/2025 11:29

I watched about 10 mins of the quiz last night but it's not really my thing 🫤

The scenes in the flat were very shocking and at one point I thought that large kitchen knife was going to be used by either of them, probably Todd. 🙁

It showed what happens in abusive relationships

Often the victim is tormented until they fight back= Reactive Abuse
Its not just hitting someone, abusers distort the reality of what is going on.

Same with the Olympics and Wimbledon - shouldn't be wall to wall coverage on the main channels disrupting all the regular programs. Lots of alternative channels they could be on.

Previous to Yasmine and Geoff we had Tyrone and Kirsty.

Shellingbynight · 16/12/2025 15:12

@Lorrymum yes that was a good storyline, she was very convincing. I hadn't thought of it as it hasn't arrived on Classic yet!
