A Man on the Inside - Netflix

Has anyone else watched A Man on the Inside?
S2 just out this week on Netflix, I've binge watched the whole thing, and loved it.
It's an easy watch crime/comedy series starring Ted Danson as a retired college professor who gets a new lease of life by going undercover (in a Retirement community in S1, and in a university setting in S2).

It's created by Michael Schur (of The Good Place, with lots of crossover of actors), and it has that cosy, funny, feel good element, with a bit of emotion thrown in.

Ted Danson is fab, and is looking very well for 77! I can only hope that by that age I am as fit and able as the retirees in this show... and that I can afford to live somewhere as nice!

The crime/mystery element comes secondary to the stories about aging, relationships, comedy mishaps... but the whole thing is every enjoyable. Personally, I preferred S1 - some parts of S2 felt a bit too try-hard (looking at you Jason Mantsoukas).

Would love to hear others' thoughts, if anyone has watched it.

ooh! I started watching it and liked it, but then forgot.

I'll watch today, thanks for the reminder.

Always liked Ted Danson

S1 was easy enough gentle watching, but they dragged it out for about 2 more episodes than it needed, maybe more, but you can't really have a 4 episode series.

S2 apparently manages to regurgitate several of the residential home characters into an entirely different setting, so I don't know if even with full brain-off I'll be able to believe it (as much as you can believe the tale anyway), especially when my watchlist of other stuff is already bulging.

S1 was great

Started S2 yesterday, didn’t care enough to finish it, gave up after 4 episodes- absolutely dire.

I really wanted to like it but just couldn't get into it. I may try it again sometime- i hate The Good Place initially but on a rewatch loved it.

I binged it. Didn’t enjoy it as much as S1 but still thought it was an easy nice watch. I love Ted Danson. Can’t see there being a S3 or how good it would be.

Never got into The Good Place - maybe I should give it another go

I agree s1 was much better, perhaps because I watched them back to back it was easier to keep going.
I do love Ted Danson ❤️

Its not as good as season 1 but still enjoying it. Ted Danson is just brilliant. Love the way the cast from season 1 are interwoven in to the story. They're not playing huge parts, it's more like cameo appearances.
