Agreed. It’s boring. The challenges do not seem that hard at all. It’s all a bit too PC. Carrying two toads is hardly a challenge 😂 and that game where they were riding around in what appeared to be a set out of Lego land was so cringe tastic.

I really am losing interest if I’m honest. I think the show has run its course.

I miss the challenges where they had to do things like walk a high bridge or be hanging out of a car that was 100s feet off the ground. The trials are all too samey now.

Maybe the big trials were too expensive ( they used to jump out of helicopters for trials, but how it was only a few of them that did this, or maybe they have to be more safety conscious ?

Yes probably. They also did things like going into a pen with ostriches. Now it’s just all critters and snakes

I was talking to DD (vegan into animal welfare) who questioned the welfare of the toads and I wonder whether they had a part to play. I know the eating trials of live creatures has gone (Fern eating a live spider haunts me to this day - spiders and webs would be my weakness) so I wonder if that hasn’t tamed it down

there are far more trials involving offal etc than before

I don’t think Kelly was faking getting the day wrong - I’m a bit like that over the Christmas holiday period when I’m off work at home and all days merge onto one, so I could easily believe that’s what happens in the jungle.

Jill Scott & Sean Walsh were talking about time on Unpacked last night & it was interesting that Jill said the only inclination of time they had was when they could hear A&D scream ‘I’m a celeb…’ as then they knew if was the start of the show so about 7am!

Didn’t they also say a camp mate kept telling them what the time was due to the sun but it turned out their diabetic watch was going off - or something like that 🤣 I was half asleep when watching it

There was nothing nice about them recruiting Lisa and ruby to spy on the others, that's bullying by divide and rule and puts pressure on Lisa and ruby, I didn't like that bit. I don't find ginge nice at all, at least aitch has some compassion.

When did they spy? I must have missed some?

They were called to the tent and told to report back directly to them if they hear anything bad said about them or any moaning and they'll deal with it, I found them both really bossy and aggressive and the contestants should all feel free to speak openly.

That was shown on Unpacked - don’t think it’s been on the main show. Plus it was only a snippet, so don’t know if it was a joke or what the outcome was.

@IAmKerplunk yes, Jill said that Mike Tindall pretended he could tell the time by looking at the sun (& they all thought he was a genius!) but it was really a campmates diabetes monitor that he was reading (she didn’t say who was diabetic & I don’t remember anyone mentioning it in their season but fair play to whoever it was for managing diabetes & the jungle!)

They did well allocating the jobs and nobody complained about what they were given to do. They learned from their predecessors what didn’t go down well. Good listening skills.
