I’ve been watching Super Rich Sleepovers on Netflix. I’m just watching the Mayfair episode with Kam and Anya.

Has anyone else been watching it?

I’m enjoying it, it’s a bit of light relief after a busy day and I quite like Sally Lindsay.

BUT it is starting to grate on me how much she gushes over everyone and everything. She’s so shocked and amazed about anything that costs more than a tenner as if she’s never been around money before. She’s quite a successful actress and writer, she can’t be short of a few bob. She acts like she’s only ever earned minimum wage and lives in a council flat!

I was having a nice time googling all of the hosts until I got to the Ann Summers lady, Jacqueline Gold, and saw she’s sadly died. How awful, her daughter is only a teenager.

The exact same reason I couldn’t get through the first episode. Come on love, you don’t actually work in the Rovers, I’m sure you’ve seen a nice restaurant before 🙄

I can appreciate that she probably doesn’t have anywhere near the same level of wealth as the hosts and she is out of her comfort zone when amongst the aristocracy but it’s how she constantly makes out like she’s skint that feels disingenuous.

Maybe she really has never eaten anything other than pie and chips, never been wine tasting, never bought any kind of designer item, never been on holiday, etc but surely that’s just because she doesn’t want to spend her money on that stuff, not because she can’t afford to.

She was gushing over the host’s designer shoes “these shoes cost £400!!!” Well, that’s kinda reasonable for designer shoes, I couldn’t afford them but you could buy them if you wanted to, Sally!

Can anyone watching please talk about Kam, his ‘love at first sight’ partner and son combo? I’m howling and have no one to laugh about it with

@jimoine yes! It was that episode that prompted me to google all of the hosts! I wondered if it was a wind up. I think he’d been bankrupt or he was bankrupt not long after filming the show.

It was so obvious it was a sugar daddy/escort kind of relationship and the man’s son looked like he was a few sandwiches short of a picnic. The whole set up was weird and they all seemed so fake.

Yes I couldn’t resist looking up to find out more. Funny that even though Kam proposed to her, as soon as he was made bankrupt…pffft, Anya is nowhere to be found. Shallow bint and sleezy fraudster.

God help anyone who went to any of their basement ‘parties’.
