Started watching this last night. It find it hilarious. The timing between shots 👌 That security guy 😂

Im watching. Just finished episode 2.
Acting is very ham. None of the characters are very likeable.
But we're enjoying laughing at it.

I’ve just finished it. Binged it in two nights - it’s so bad it’s good!!

I'm on Ep 4 it seems to gradually be building up per episode... 🫢

watched it when I couldn’t sleep. It’s truly awful. Even with some good actors. The storyline & direction is risible.

I don't think it's trying to be gold standard but it's entertaining me during bereavement.

I got halfway through episode two and gave up. I couldn’t stand the moping unemployed husband or the passive aggressive “banter” of the husband next door or the sulky teenage daughter pointing her camera at everyone, in fact I couldn’t stand any of them.

The whole point is to dislike them! The music gives it a dark comedy vibe

It’s so so bad! So why am I thinking about it? I actually sped it up to 1.25 then slowed it down lol! Just so so so so bad I don’t know why I’m watching it

I normally like Jill Halfpenny but this is awful. And Tessa Peake-Jones! I feel a bit sorry for her!

On episode one and yep it's crap but I want to see what happens, I'm surprised how bad the acting is because JH, AN and TPJ are good actresses so maybe it's meant to be a piss take. The unemployed husband is quite fit though.

Who knew someone could get so excited over a kitchen extension or it would lead to such a drama. Acting is shite but it's entertaining.

Quite rubbish lighthearted TV I agree. Bits of it made me laugh.

It sooo bad that I looked it up on here to see opinions and I could only find a thread from 2012 (?) where posters said they loved it!

I googled the cast and tpj was actually pretty hot in his younger years 😆. The weirdo nosey neighbour Alex mcqueen? (Real name) there was a picture of him with a bit of stubble and I thought hey hes orrite looking, I feel like a creep saying that 😬😬😬

I watched it all in a couple of days! What ridiculous tosh! Who thinks “our marriage is on the rocks. I know what’ll put a bit of romance back - we’ll build and extension. Hurrah!”

im not a massive fan of JH but this left me cringing!

It's so bad but I'm nearly at the end now. I think it would have been better if it was a dark comedy rather than trying to be a drama. The shifting timelines are either confusing or badly done. The builder is the worst, why any self respecting solicitor would put up with that nonsense is beyond me!

This is a ch5 "drama" originally which might explain it's so dire!

That was so terrible. I hate these twee shows anyway but that felt like it was written by a gcse student 😂
