Just rewatched The Long Night

Perfect, technically and artistically. Can anyone recommend a series equivalent to GoTs? Watched all sorts since, The Last Kingdom, Vikings, many others in the same vein, most recently King and Conqueror which was hugely disappointing. Highlander was pretty good but stretched.

I've struggled for years since Thrones. Everything else is just shit.
Honourable mention to Succession but there's no dragons.

I am currently watching "Line" (aka The French Village) on ITVX on the recommendation of a Mumsnet poster. It's a French series about the German occupation of France during WWII. It's truly the best series I have ever seen. The acting, the script - it's absolutely genius. I cannot recommend it enough!
