Anyone else watch?
Have loved it since it started and are currently going through them all again on catch-up starting from S1 E1 (something interesting to watch while doing the ironing).

Both OH & I had our own classic cars & bikes and while there was no way I could be called a competent DIY mechanic, I was capable of carrying out day to day checks, changing a wheel, bulbs, wiper blades etc. My OH on the other hand has carried out complete rebuilds and will tackle any job (excluding painting) with a high degree of professionalism.

Apart from finding the Mathewson team entertaining (Paul is our favourite), it is great seeing all the different cars & bikes, especially models that we have owned.
Even (what were) our normal cars now go through as upcoming classics.... we must be getting old!😖

Anyone who say cars & bikes are just a method of transport and only of interest to men, they could not be more wrong. The classic car scene is dominated by couples with many of the wives/partners owning (like me), a car or bike of their own.

Sadly we got rid of our vehicles post COVID (retirement & house move) but now we are settled, I think it may be time to start again.😁
May take the MoHo up to Mathewson in TLD for a few days and have a nosey around.

We fly over every now and then to have a nosey around Mathewson's , Bangers and Cash is one of our most see shows as well

DH loves Capri's , hes never long without one, he does them up, enters a few shows and sells them on

The cars are his hobby, mine is the weekends in GB :)

Sorry, lost me there.🤔

Is Mathewson's always as busy as it is portrayed on the show?

It's busy at pre sale/sale time at the Thornton Road Industrial estate unit (Pickering ) with cars parked randomly and chaotically and if you are in a motor home it could be nigh on impossible to get down the road because of kerbside parking. At other times it's quiet. I think they charge for random visits or you have to buy some sort of access ticket but don't quote me on that!

At TLD it fluctuates - drove past last week and there's nothing on the forecourt so quiet.

There is a big carpark in TLD which would easily accommodate a large vehicle and is a short walk into the village centre (nation park carpark) .

TLD is nice to visit anyway, and if planning a visit to the area then perhaps build in North Yorkshire Moors Railway and Eden Camp especially if you like old stuff.

We fly in from Northern Ireland to pick up cars and make a break out of it - so meal out, city shopping etc - mini break for me :)

Aye the site at Pickering is rammed coming up to sales , but it's a great buzz . TLD is as previous poster said - a beautiful village - real chocolate box village with nice tea rooms , pubs and an amazing HM chocolate shop - I always visit there. Great farm shop on the Pickering road as well

Ah, that explains it.😎
The only thing I could think of with those initials was Great Britain but I didn't twig you were NI.

Plenty of car auctions across the UK (classic & otherwise) but Mathewson's have made themselves into a choice destination.
