A few years who I watched a gripping Spanish thriller called I Know Who You Are. It has stuck in my mind as being one of the best shows I've seen. I like foreign thrillers anyway as a rule as they tend to be more plot driven and subtle rather than over reliant on violence and gore.

This one is about a guy who is involved in an accident and develops amnesia so he cant recall who he was before. It then emerges that he might have murdered his niece. The whole premise centres on how much our memories make us who he are and how the act of remembering or forgetting past events can completely change a person- for better or worse.

I loved it and was sad when it ended. Like many foreign thrillers the season was very long and there was a lot of character development.

I wondered if anyone else watched it?

That sounds right up my street. I shall watch when I get the chance.

I will be very interested in your thoughts if you do watch it and want to share!

I'm very fussy about what I watch but it gripped me all the way through and the ending was great as well.

I watched it and mostly enjoyed it, though did think the plot became a bit bonkers as the series went on.

Yeah some parts were quite bit strange especially later on. Being a long season it was probably an effort to think of ways to keep the plot moving! But I was gripped throughout. I'm probably biased as I enjoy European dramas. There's a Spanish film called The Body which I really liked too.

I watch quite a few European dramas too, though I haven't come across the Spanish film you mention.

Did you see the recent thread on here about various French series on the TV?

I watched it and enjoyed it although I can't remember much about it now.
I seem to remember enjoying the earlier episodes a lot but that the later ones didn't live up to the expectations. And it sort of lost its way as though it didn't know how to conclude!

I really enjoy foreign dramas, the more I watch, the more Netflix keeps chucking new suggestions at me.
Recently enjoyed No one Saw us Leave (Mexican), The Guest (Colombian) and Secrets We Keep (Danish) if anyone is interested!
Don’t remember the Spanish drama you mention though it sounds intriguing.
