Brassic Series 5

Series 7* Anyone else finding this series really dire? They've introduced new cast as filler, Erin and Vinnie are never seen together and he is in hardly any stories. Has Cardi even been seen since episode?! Sad to say, they shouldn't have bothered and I am a big fan. As a group it worked so well, now the dynamic has gone.

I think it’s really poor too. I don’t know if it’s true but I read on Reddit (so probably untrue) that Joe Gilgun behaved poorly and some cast members won’t film with him.

Anyway this season is beyond boring and I am so uninvested.

I'm inclined to think thats not the case, but the rumours are no surprise the way this has been done. We haven't seen Cardi or his wife much and Joseph Gilgun is one of the creators I think cast would be careful of not biting the hand that feeds them. There's lots of dynamics we aren't seeing not just Vinnie but as the main character it stands out. Were they all too busy with other projects? It was obvious im Ep 1 and 2 they were trying to hide Erin's pregnant belly but in ep 5 in the lift she didnt have that so it wasn't always an issue.

Really disappointing and am I right in thinking we never knew how they survived the van crashing down off the side of the cliff?!

I'm so glad it's not just me finding this final series hugely disappointing...as a massive Brassic fan, I am gutted😞
I did know that we were not going to see Cardi & Carol after ep.1 but we've hardly seen Vinnie or Erin, they've thrown in some random, previously unseen/barely seen characters to seemingly flesh out the group and it all feels a bit forced and half-hearted - definitely not the standard we are used too and it's such a shame. I'm really hoping the finale saves it but sadly, not very optimistic.

Ohhhh … I unsubscribed from Now TV a few months ago - but it doesn’t sound as if it would be worthwhile going back just for this new season? I had an unreasonable amount of love for the earlier seasons (not least because I was living in ‘the North’ around that time and recognised some of the locations). And Joe Gilgun was blessed with sheer genius in Misfits and Preacher. I’ll be sorry if the show isn’t ending in triumph.

It was one of my absolute favourites for Series 1 and 2, but has got increasingly awful. This last series has been unremittingly dreadful, and the finale was one of the worst things I’ve seen. Don’t waste your time.
