Who will be the right hosts to take over???

I thought Anton was being lined up for the role a few years ago but now I’m not sure he’ll want to hang up his judging shoes

DH & I were talking this morning about this & we both wondered whether they've made their announcement ahead of the BBC announcing they're resting the show for a year (or longer).

I think theres a lot of Prime time telly to fill at the weekend without Strictly. Its hugely successful still and pulls in a lot of ratings.

Two naturally funny/playful characters.

I love Strictly in the run up to Christmas!

I know who I really don't want - Vernon Kay (boring), Alison Hammond (great at interviewing celebs solo but not good at presenting), Fleur East (boring), Rylan (too fake and annoying voice), Amanda Holden (annoying as hell).

I'd take Alan Carr, Mel and Sue, Jeanette or Diane.

Think it’s a perfect opportunity now to change the format of the show.

Think the results show should go out live on a Saturday night - combined into one show (like dancing on ice was) and then have an ITT episode straight after with Fleur East on BBC 2.

Change up the judging panel - increase to 5 judges -
Motsi, Shirley, Craig, Neil Jones and Karen Hauer

Change ITT from 1 every weekday, to Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday night. Fleur East to present.

Get rid of the judges paddles and have live digital scoring like Dancing on Ice did - not sure why they never incorporated this - DOI were doing this 20 years ago!

Claudia is unique and her wit cuts through the saccharine of Strictly.
Without her it will be entirely one dimensional.
