Did anyone watch this?
A new Channel 4 travel show that has been described as 'Race Across The World by another name' has received rave reviews.
The premise of Worlds Apart is simple - teenagers who have never been abroad alone team up with pensioners to embark upon a once-in-a-lifetime treasure hunt across Japan.
With £50,000 prize pot on offer, the contestants, aged between 18 and 80, have to bridge their generational gap to become the ultimate treasure hunters in this heart-warming watch.
I loved it and found it so wholesome seeing the relationship between the teens and pensioners. Tony (69) a retired GP is paired up with Emma (18), he asks her if she will get home sick. She said, "I don't have a home, I have been in care since I was 8. The police came and I have been in different foster homes ever since." Tony, like us all, was visibly shocked.
It made me reflect on my relationship with my grandparents and how special that bond is between the old and young can be.
Give it a watch!
