Am enjoying this one, lighthearted but also culturally and socially interesting.
I recognised Rachel Griffiths straightaway, co-starred in Muriel’s Wedding.

it makes me laugh that the main guy from Virgin River is in it, playing a very different character
.

This series makes me shudder, horrible normalisation of exploitation of women, woke propaganda, Looking through the episode summaries just sick the way its trying to make it OK and including women in exploitation of their own sex. Disgusting. Never going to renew my Netflix subscription. Yuk!

I didn’t see it that way at all. It’s based on a true story about an ‘ethical’ brothel in a country where sex work is legal, so workers choosing to be there and it wasn’t like any kind of porn film, there was no gratuitous action, nothing graphic was seen , although discussed I felt it was done in a lighthearted way and tasteful given the subject matter

the way I looked at this the girls in question where choosing this as a job and it is their body their choice a women can make an informed choice to do this if she wishes and fair play to her for it I felt this was done tastefully

I think there’s a second series planned although I couldn’t find much info about it, I hope so as it was a cliffhanger ending!

Me neither. I’d rather binge for 15 hours straight and get closure.

I didn’t see it that way either. There’s a very valid debate to be had about sex work and I feel like in some ways this series gives those in the industry a voice, as opposed to others speaking for them. It was really thoughtful. Really hoping for series 2.
