I thought that Jessie was very strange. And I thought she was very cocky in the latter stages. But to be honest, I just couldn't cope with her singing out the side of her mouth.

None of them were Lee Mead, IMO.

I liked Jessie but not her side singing. The shots of the poor girl sobbing her heart out when she lost were very sad. She is only 18

I just worried they'd make her try the cock-er-nee accent and she'd end up sounding like Dick Van Dyke

in the end, they came nowhere near getting amy winehouse-esque nancy that alw said he wanted at first

I am interested that Jodie said she was a size 14.

I don't mean to be unkind but I am a 12 in some clothes and a 14 in others (16 on top) and I am smaller than Jodie.

i'm not sure about her size, but the clothes they put her in(esp the nancy frock which put ponds on al of them! ) didnt help- and anyone would look huge next to sam and jessie. on the final show i thought she looked her best in the twenties style fringed number.

Oh Dear, apparently Burn Gorman from Torchwood and, I think, Bleak House is going to be Bill Sykes.

He seems a bit slight for our Jodie! I was thinking of someone more meaty. Can't think of who though! A bit more of a young Ray Winstone, just not someone so slim or young looking as this actor!

I've just seen this on the Oliver website:

"Sickness and holiday permitting, we have decided that Jodie Prenger is scheduled to perform on Monday and Tuesday evenings, Wednesday matinees, Friday evenings and both performances on Saturday. Until the show opens in December we cannot make a final decision on any additional performances."

ray winstone would be fab-bill sykes is meant to be 35, so he is prob a tad old- but Burn Gorman is prob about the same age as jodie.. Bill is meant to be nearly twice nancys age.

just clicked link and realised burn is 34. But he just ain't Oliver Reed!!

How sexy is Oliver Reed in Oliver? He's GORGEOUS! And he should be shouldn't he imo! He should be all yin to Nancy's yang (whichever way round it should be ) But there's a danger our Jodie will look like the man of those two!

You need someone older and as physically dominant as Alfred Molina but sexier than him!

I don't see the sense of casting Gorman unless they were hoping he was going to play against one of the younger Nancies. But Sam might have towered over him!
