Watched it all last weekend. Loved it.

Lovewine1975 · 26/09/2025 09:10

I'm up to episode 5 and its brilliant love Jude Law and Jason Bateman together, such good acting

PuppyMonkey · 26/09/2025 12:25

This has been the best thing I’ve watched in ages. Gripping from start to finish.

LoafofSellotape · 26/09/2025 12:26

I found it so boring ,I gave up, dh watched it all but wished he hadn't. Shame as I love Jude Law.

ozarina · 26/09/2025 12:36

I really loved it. My husband on the other hand hated that they did " silly things" 🤷‍♀️ I enjoyed seeing Jason Bateman in a serious role. I've never been a fan of Jude Law but did enjoy him in this.

I really wanted to like this, but I had to give up after 2 episodes. I think both leads are good but Jason Batemans character just annoyed me too much. A loser, accepts no consequences to his actions, a gambler, a liar etc. I couldn't find any redeeming feature about him. Nothing against the actor, just the character.

CafeDuck · 26/09/2025 19:52

Love Jason but jeepers Jude is terrible in this.

Itisallastruggle · 26/09/2025 19:55

I loved it but think you need to watch it all to get why Jason’s character is the way he is and why his brother looks out for him so much. It actually made me cry at the end and I hope my children would support each other as much as they had. Brothers for life, no matter what.

sweatervest · 26/09/2025 19:57

i totally love it. am on episode 7 and it's the best thing i've seen since the trip.

jude's accent is sketchy (I would have though it would have been better) but the song by the walkmen (we've been had) is totally amazing and i can't get enough of the song and the BR. also jude and jason are such a good team (that's not the right word but hey) and i love the badman drug boss. i am hoping jason and jude will be on graham norton re: BR and then my life will be complete.

Absolutely this.

I finished this and really enjoyed it, got a bit crazy at one point with so much going on but the final episode was great, and I did feel quite emotional. Nice to have a bit of eye candy as well with Jude Law and Morgan Spector from Gulided Age 😊

bilbodog · 27/09/2025 12:39

@sweatervest

youve mentioned the trip? Which one as there seem to be more than one with this name?

sweatervest · 28/09/2025 16:58

there was greece, italy and spain trips as far as i can remember. they were the best and i loved the music (in case you were interested?!)

i've probably got that wrong but i am trying to remember.

sweatervest · 28/09/2025 16:59

oh - the steve coogan rob brydon trips. i didn't know there were other trips!

MonkeyTennis34 · 28/09/2025 20:54

I also cried at the end of the series. I loved finding out what happened to each of the characters.
I would say they mostly ended up where they deserved to be.
The acting, script, direction, the way NYC was depicted…all was excellent.

ozarina · 29/09/2025 01:04

It was a group of characters who met , had success then moved on with their new lives. Things just couldn't be the same in the aftermath. It was touching.

@ozarina
Roxie calling her new restaurant Anna’s was very touching.
And seeing Jake jacking in the glory but also stress of running his own business was great too.
(I get far too involved, I know).

SisterMaryLuke · 29/09/2025 11:18

Well, I watched another episode and and I just don't like it - the 2 main characters make me too cross. I am going to watch House of Guiness and see how I fare with that.

Blahblahmama1 · 04/10/2025 09:22

Loved it.
