Finding Alice Ridiculous

I haven't watched it all yet, but I'm finding a detail from Finding Alice (Netflix) a bit ridiculous.... The character (who seems to be the only guy working in the hospital mortuary), performs post mortems and reports on them in court, but also lovingly brushes dead people's hair, preps them for viewing, runs a bereavement counselling group for relatives IN THE MORTUARY, and also happily delivers the corpse in his van, carries the coffin and then attends the funeral as a guest... Err what?

I watched the first couple of eps but couldn't be bothered watching the rest. Didn't really grip me.

I watched half of the first episode and turned it off. A huge disappointment because I love Keeley Hawkes.

It is absolutely awful. So unbelievable I thought it was a spoof/comedy at first. Gave up half way through episode 2.
What was Joanna Lumley thinking?

Yes, it felt halfway to a spoof.
And yes, with Keeley Hawkes and Joanna Lumley, it had lots of potential.
