Yes, I like it so far. I enjoy how the men always seem to be nice and normal until about 3 episodes in when the cracks appear. By Episode 5 I'm once again very glad I'm not on the dating scene...

I’ve not started this yet, but of course there has to be plenty of drama, I do sometimes wonder if it’s all staged, but that’s just me.

I listen to a few podcasts about it, it does appear that they deliberately select controversial contestants.

On the recent UK version, the women applied and the men were all approached on social media which drives a difference in expectation from the start

Yes, the men always seem to be in it for £ and work and the women do want a partner, on the whole (I'm always dubious of the ones under 25ish though)

I started watching it and it was playing out the same as the UK version.

Assuming anyone coming on the thread knows that all 4 episodes are up for discussion, they were all so mean to Charles! I don’t think he looks like an elf. Cynthia’s situation was predictable unfortunately, he obviously wasn’t cool with her height when they met

That Cynthia situation was exactly why they shouldn't just have Instagram lovelies on it though - she had a real reason to go on it. I'm not as tall as her but her situation took me right back to an ex who used to be exactly the same; I wasn't allowed to wear heels ever and he had a real chip on his shoulder about it. Funny how you forget and minimise those arguments as you get older and now I am reminded what a lucky escape I had!

Charles is coming across as a real sweetheart. The girls are so horrible, they totally peaked in high school. Thomas is totally regretting his choice. Can you imagine Kim wiping up toddler sick at four in the morning?

The girls are the problem. Most are really unpleasant.

Cynthia is an absolute QUEEN. So gorgeous. She needs a man who will show her off with pride.

I’m not fully caught up yet but would love to see the parallel universe where Charles stuck with his decision to pick Sarah… she was quite a force wasn’t she!

I’ve got as far as the episode where the male and female pod squads all meet up at the bar. It was very explosive and I thought Celine had suffered a wardrobe malfunction when she took her coat off, but no, it was just a very interesting dress.

At this point I really don’t see any of them saying I do at the altar or if they do, they’re crazy! Charles and Julie are sweet together and I think well matched in their attractiveness but I don’t think she sees it that way.

You know I actually finished the series and thought what a nice bunch of men there were - bar a couple. I don't think many other reality show has had the same calibre for a while. Usually after a few episodes you find out they slept with their fiance's sister or something. This lot seemed relatively normal.
Tatania should have clocked he was a man-child a while ago, but I do feel bad for her. He was never going to be the stable sensible guy who understood her kid came first. I hope Charles and Julie make it - he is grounding for her. Honestly I thought Alexandre was going to come out at one point, but he and Chloe seem well suited, she has shown she will follow him wherever he needs to go to find himself. I wonder if they've moved to the mountains!

I watch a YouTube commentator who trashed all the women for their behaviour and actually she had a point. Apparently, Yannick, of Yannick and Tatiana is very wealthy so no wonder there were issues with a prenup.

Of course they'd trash all the women - that's what our social media does, unfortunately. I didn't like the bitchy one in the pods who didn't get picked, but other than that they were all quite well matched. Felt very sorry for the girl with the short guy and massive ego issue who flipped it to being her fault. Men go on about women wanting tall men then you see how the short ones act and it says it all.

Yannick wasn't ready to commit to having a serious relationship let alone being a dad and she needed the pre-nup for her business and to protect her and her son. He assumed she was therefore in it for the money (because she said she needed to know he would provide if something happened to her business) - his reaction really showed he wasn't ready for responsibility and wouldn't have been a good father figure - he couldn't understand that with a kid you need that money coming in. I would have run for the hills too if I were her and I'd not care if he was apparently some kind of millionaire (which I very much doubt with those manners).

Alexandre: commitmentphobe, wasn[t feeling Chloe who was a massive Cool Girl. Like, she was lovely but don[t offer to move your entire life to the mountains for a guy you have known for less than a month.

Charles and Julie: cute. Could go either way. Either they will settle into it or he will end up feeling trapped and resentful at how needy she is.

Kim: srsly. You are NOT cut out to be a stepmother.

Thomas: paints himself as the dad of the year. Has his daughter one week in 4, lives in a different city, is prepared to give her a stepmum he has never seen, is overly emotional, has a not entirely clear history of hookup/relationships. I suspect there[s some pretty poor relationship behaviour in his past.

Yannick: fucking hell he was SO disrespectful. Turning up to meet the mama late and empty-handed - curling one out on the rug would have been worse, but only just. Also, did he show a single second of interest in being a stepfather? I totally get why Tatiana (who has her flaws too clearly) was so over it at the end. I wouldn[t waste time listening to him either.
