ALW is writing
'Phantom of the Opera II - Retribution, Denial and Twiddly Sopranos'.

He'll be looking for partially facially unattractive male leads.

I love the "Kevin, you are not Jesus" comment on the other thread!

I was thinking it will be Joseph, then remebered it's already been done [sieve-like memory]

tissy · 01/06/2008 21:52

I LOVE JC Superstar! saw it with Paul Nicholas as Christ in about 1972!

Have been very sneering about these reality search for a star type shows, but relented and took dd to see Joseph recently It had the blode scottish boy from the show as lead, and it was fabulous! A really good show, so might watch the next series, maybe....

southeastastra · 01/06/2008 21:52

i'm so bored of these series, though i love david essex

TheWoman · 01/06/2008 21:54

I think they should do 'Little Shop of Horrors', so the dodgy warblers can get fed head first into the carnivorous plant at the end of each episode.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 01/06/2008 21:54

More like "Jesus Christ, another stupid search for a star"

Can you tell I'm bored of these now?

TheMoistWorldOfSeptimusQuench · 01/06/2008 21:54

Oh yes I bloody well hope so. I lurve JCS.

"Mary ooooh that is goood..."

and

"what shall we do about this Jesusmania?
What shall we do with the carpenter king?
How do we deal with a man who is bigger
than John was when John did his baptism thang?"

and

"Tell me how you feel about your friends at the top
Who d'ya think besides yourself was the pick of the crop?
Buddha - was he where you're at, is he where you are?
Did Mohammed move a mountain or was that just PR?"

I am slightly obsessed

VeniVidiVickiQV · 01/06/2008 21:54

Actually, speaking of horror....the Rocky Horror show would be an interesting one......

beansprout · 01/06/2008 21:56

I think I am done too. Watching Jodie win and the big bods being clearly so unhappy with that made for pretty uncomfortable viewing. There were very few stand out moments in this series (Rachel's Cabaret and Jessie's Judy impression aside).

TheMoistWorldOfSeptimusQuench · 01/06/2008 21:56

David Essex

Yes please

beansprout · 01/06/2008 21:57

Noooo!!! He is old now!!

southeastastra · 01/06/2008 21:59

god i loved david essex, i had a poster from evita of him on my wall, he had a moustache and it was all misty looking.

tissy · 01/06/2008 21:59

Paul Nicholas isn't quite as beautiful as he was 36 years ago, either

TheMoistWorldOfSeptimusQuench · 01/06/2008 22:03

I loved that crap eighties sitcom he did, where he was a gypsy who lived on a barge, complete with red & white spotted neck tie thingy..

What the heck was it called?

mustrunmore · 01/06/2008 22:04

Rocky Horror? Potentially great, but also very hard to not totally ruin!

tissy · 01/06/2008 22:04

ooh, it had a chirpy scottish girl in it, too....

beansprout · 01/06/2008 22:08

Argh, can't remember.

southeastastra · 01/06/2008 22:13
