Anyone watching this?

I watched it the other day. Interesting I thought.

notnowbernard · 01/06/2008 21:19

I watched it the other day

Remembered seeing the first one

WEIRD mothers

TheFallenMadonna · 01/06/2008 21:20

Didn't you think they'd calmed down a lot? Grandmas still bonkers of course...

Nemoandthefishes · 01/06/2008 21:21

I am wastching. I dont remember the first one although dh says he does

notnowbernard · 01/06/2008 21:22

Mothers have calmed down a bit, yes

It's just the footage from the first one... weird, weird, weird

wessexgirl · 01/06/2008 21:24

Oh, yes, I remember it first time around and being completely .

It's even more uncomfortable viewing now that dd1 is the same age as those poor little blighters.

Snowstorm · 01/06/2008 21:25

I can't imagine subjecting your daughter to all this nonsense - what about letting them have a childhood?! I also can't imagine my DD's (or any DC that I know) putting up with any aspect of what those girls are doing at such a young age - I can't even get them to sit still, let alone stand still for longer than a few moments

cariboo · 01/06/2008 21:25

Grandma's totally out to lunch. Poor thing.

notnowbernard · 01/06/2008 21:27

DD1 is 4.5, agree it is odd to watch for that reason

notnowbernard · 01/06/2008 21:28

In the original one of the mothers inserted false teeth when her dd lost her milk teeth

bubblerock · 01/06/2008 21:30

They all look like mini Vanessa Feltz'! The hair even now is crazy!!!

OP posts:
PheasantPlucker · 01/06/2008 21:32

Very, very surreal...

Snowstorm · 01/06/2008 21:37

Mini Vanessa Feltz's ... ... like that!

bubblerock · 01/06/2008 21:40

It's even worse seeing the older one (Asia?) doing it! At least as a child they didn't really know what they were doing!

OP posts:
wessexgirl · 01/06/2008 21:42

Feel a bit sorry for Asia - I wonder if she does it because it connects her to happier times when her family was all together.

Her mum and grandmother still wield huge influence over her, by the looks of it.

Snowstorm · 01/06/2008 21:47

Is Asia the one who thinks she can sing but can't?

bubblerock · 01/06/2008 22:01

Yup - it was pretty scary, especially the 'blonde' song!

OP posts:
wessexgirl · 01/06/2008 22:01

Ha ha, if nothing else those pageants have certainly given her self-confidence.

TheFallenMadonna · 01/06/2008 22:03

I think she seemed like a lovely girl, and I think Grandma ia a malign influence and should butt out. When they were talking about her dad, she was stirring appallingly.
