Which of the streaming services do you recommend as best for drama and documentaries please?

What kind of documentaries do you like? For example, there’s quite a few decent crime ones on iPlayer.

I like some crime documentaries if they are more serious than salacious. I also like current affairs, politics, history.

I was really asking about paid for streaming services. I already have bbc iplayer, itvx and channel 4.

I find Netflix too US focused and it has very little that interests me. Too much action, reality shows and romance.

Have you had a look at Disney+ (which includes National Geographic channel)? The bias on NG is more toward natural history and history but covers quite a lot of political themes and big issues as well (often in a historic or geographic context). It may not have enough of the current affairs for you but its worth a look at the catalogue. The drama catalog is sizeable.

There are regular “three months free” offers if you want to try it out
