If so, I want to live there. It's all pretty and soft-focus.

No its not, sorry! I live in cornwall btw.

NomDePlume · 30/05/2008 21:56

No, it's full of interbred hicks and animal shite.

expatinscotland · 30/05/2008 21:57

LOL.

Erm, no.

LyraSilvertongue · 30/05/2008 21:57

That's what I thought.

'Tis all pretty and soft-focus round here.

controlfreakyagain · 30/05/2008 21:58

err, no.
it's full of muddy fields / noise / big cars / crap shops / bad restaurants.... (mostly)

Jazzicatz · 30/05/2008 21:58

Fucking nutters where I live!

ShowOfHands · 30/05/2008 21:59

It's a tad more Royston Vasey. Our neighbours (about a mile away) have a lifesize papier mache effigy of a highway patrolman in their porch. In the dead of night you can hear them cackling 'we didn't burn him'.

We love it.

expatinscotland · 30/05/2008 21:59

We have lots of midgies are neighbours just the now.

scorpio1 · 30/05/2008 21:59

and foxes making odd noises at all hours

LyraSilvertongue · 30/05/2008 22:00

Scorpio, we have the fox problem and we're in London.

It'a fabulously pretty round here (apart from the motorway!) I love this time of year.

UnquietDad · 30/05/2008 22:00

No, no, no, no, no, no, no.

Yes.

Jazzicatz · 30/05/2008 22:01

Hahahahaahaha UD!

LyraSilvertongue · 30/05/2008 22:02

Dona and puppydogtails, where do you live? I want to move to your village(s).

OP posts:
NomDePlume · 30/05/2008 22:02

pmsl @ rOYSTON vASEY

donna123 · 30/05/2008 22:16

And the next-door county (Shropshire) is even prettier!

keepcalmandsauvignon · 30/05/2008 22:29

oh UD, you do make me laugh! still laughing intermittently at the Brigadoon reference elsewhere

oh, and in response to OP, yes, it is. Have to fight my way through swathes of cow parsley just to get through front door

but on the other hand, no, is not. Co-incidentally have had long conversation with DH this evening about how the VoD writers had no understanding of the C of E electing a vicar process, or of local planning legislation, etc. Goodness, we are SO middleaged.

ChasingSquirrels · 30/05/2008 22:54

pmsl UD

PuppyDogTails · 31/05/2008 08:48

Sounds like Donna lives near me! I'm on the Cheshire-Shropshire border. The sun always shines, even when it's pissing down everywhere else. Always. Well, sometimes.

constancereader · 31/05/2008 08:51

Yes, def more Royston Vasey round here.

UD - lol
