Personally I would be pleased if Tom Kerridge isn't going to be presenting. I don't care for him that much on GBM and I don't want to see any more of him.

He also does commercials on TV. M Roux Jr left masterchef due to his advertising potatoes. They may have had issues with Tom Kerridges ads.

Tom also has allergies to shellfish. I think that would be bad both ways - I wouldn’t trust amateurs without full training to cook separately safely. Equally I don’t think it’s that fair expecting them to alter recipes. I’d imagine they’d just decide not to cook it.
I know IABU but I don’t like that one of the regulars cannot properly compare dishes for the judging.
