So I decided to rewatch love island season 2. I remember being a hardcore love island fan back in the day and this was by far my favourite season! I can’t say I’ve watched it since it first aired though so it’s definitely an eye opener watching it through the eyes of a 30 something year old as opposed to someone in their early 20s!
It’s so hard to not feel so sad for Sophie. What a lovely, genuine and kind woman she was. It’s clear the MH struggles she had as she has a number of episodes of struggling, and it’s so sad to think the support was there when it was filmed to help her. She really seemed like such a lovely person.
I also feel so sad for Zara. I remember being a big Zara fan but she’s been quite painful to watch this time 🙈. Just the constant self doubt, anxiety and need for reassurance is really difficult to get past. But the whole hideaway situation with Alex just broke my heart. That situation cost her so much. All the girls were running around, gossiping about her and even calling her a slag behind her back. All acting as if they’re now angels despite all of them shagging in the bedrooms!
She felt she had to walk from the show and she lost her Miss GB crown 😔.
And what makes it worse is you can so tell she only did that because she felt so unwanted and lonely in the villa. It was like she was just trying to keep up with the others and lost herself in it.
Anyway, not quite sure the point of this thread! Is anyone else currently rewatching it?
