I am home alone for a week!! Don’t know what to do with myself 😂

What series do you watch when you’re by yourself, that your OH wouldn’t be interested in? I would love some recommendations.

I've just finished Under The Bridge- true crime series in 8 parts. Would recommend and my OH wouldn't watch with me.

Thank you - however, I think my DH would like that 😁

Sorry, I should have been a bit more specific - no crime, murder, mystery etc, as we do watch stuff like that together! I’m thinking of something easy to watch that most men would dismiss as women’s crap 😂

We were liars on Prime. Blew my mind

Lol - my own husband hates the crime stuff I enjoy!

Have you seen The Rivals on Disney? Or Wednesday (Netflix)? Second series has just been released.

Superstore - currently rewatching/bingeing, still good!
Sweet Magnolias
The Sandman (although my DH loves it and I’d have to wait for him)
A place in the Sun

Following, as I’m also sans DH (although just for tonight)

mrschocolatte · 08/08/2025 06:56

How about The Gilded Age or Buccaneers on Apple. The latter is all quite frothy nonsense but enjoyable nonetheless. I also quite liked Tell Me Lies on Disney. All three shows are guilty pleasures when DH is not around, but I do spend a lot of time shouting at the screen at some of the daft decisions people make on these shows. Adds to the fun!

Pashazade · 08/08/2025 08:04

Schmigadoon and Schmicago on Apple. 😁

springbabydays · 08/08/2025 09:41

The Crown, Downton Abbey, Handmaid's Tale, Dawsons Creek, the Beckham and Schwartzenegger documentaries were all things my DP chose to avoid.

Lovewine1975 · 08/08/2025 09:43

Joining this thread as my DH is away for the weekend as well! Looking for some good tv recs

Weatherwax · 08/08/2025 09:50

I loved Emily in Paris on Netflix. It was like reading a glossy travel magazine combined with a chick lit book. DH wouldn't tolerate it.

Member984815 · 08/08/2025 10:33

We were liars is quite good, I like to watch trash reality on my own. Secret life of Mormon wives , or a real housewives

Skissors · 08/08/2025 10:41

A Good Girls Guide to Murder
Nobody Wants This - a rom com

Nyad - a film with Annette Beyning and Jodie Foster
Fleishman is in Trouble - fab
Ghosts

Ludwig - hed seen the ads and hadn't sounded at all interested but then he said he did want to watch it. So maybe not Ludwig.

I’ve just binge watched Why Women Kill and really enjoyed it

burnoutbabe · 09/08/2025 19:36

I am in sane position so have picked we are liars.
sirens was on Netflix and is glitzy glossy women’s drama. Or the perfect couple one with Nicole Kidman.

AiryFairy1 · 10/08/2025 22:22

I’m enjoying We were Liars, thanks for the rec. Predictably, DH watched about 15 mins of ep 2, and stomped off to bed 😅

But the ads on Prime - I thought the whole of paid streaming platforms was to avoid ads 😤

Most streamers you have to pay extra to get rid, I pay £2.99 a month for this on Prime.
